While the phrase "Blanc de Blancs" is generally reserved for sparkling wines comprised entirely of Chardonnay, Jean Paul is simply being tongue-in-cheek here with the proprietary name of his snappy, still white wine. A blend of the southern French stalwart white varieties Colombard and Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano in Italy), this is a cheap, go-to dry white for any night of the week: the kind of wine you can pour a cup of into a recipe and a glass of for the chef! We have stocked previous vintages of this wine, but none so dry and lithe as to be considered to carry the mantle of Wine of the Month until this most recent incarnation! Fruity and fleshy with green apple and tart lime appeal, Jean Paul's "Blanc de Blancs" is the kind of wine to be purchased in volume and kept around all summer long!
